Job Description

The Director of Government Business Development will aggressively lead and oversee the development and growth of profitable new government related business.


Responsibilities:

·Conduct research and market analysis to identify and pursue possible new partnerships in existing and emerging market sectors with a primary focus on Federal, State and Local Government

·Identify key targets in government business sectors and build relationships

·Continually demonstrate excellent interpersonal communication with potential and current clients

·Identify opportunities to increase our exposure in the government marketplace and present options to leadership such as

tradeshows, organization participation etc.

·Get to know account executives, managers, senior leadership, stakeholders, and revenue generators across the business to align priorities and understand opportunity areas to optimize or drive increased results

·Using automated and non-automated tools to identify opportunities within specialist areas of the rental landscape

·Own Mygovspend.org data base as well as other government work search engines

·Lead generation, tracking, and investigation into government contract and RFP opportunities

·On qualification of interest, engage Account Executives to advance a lead.

·Assist in preparation of quotes, contracts, and RFP’s

·Protect integrity of the estimating process by ensuring all estimates accurately reflect the appropriate operational, delivery, and equipment costs

·Maintain proper documentation, up to date awareness of company activities, industry trends, and regulations

·Participate in sales meetings and team activities with division leaders and fellow associates

·Present alternate or expand on current solutions, materials, and support to enhance business at a local and national level

·Participate and expand third party opportunities to present PRO EM to the government marketplace

·Other duties as assigned


Requirements:

·5+ years’ experience in Government Business Development, Sales, Marketing

·A strategic thinker who can architect a government sales strategy while also being tactical and hands-on in the rollout of

operational initiatives

·Highly skilled in negotiations with strong business acumen

·Exceptional people skills with an outgoing personality

·A strong customer focus

·Strong organization, time management, multi-tasking skills, and detailed oriented

·Self-starter with a professional appearance

·Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills

·Must be a team player that works well in a collaborative environment
